Autor
Nach elf Jahren, in denen er als Autor und Schauspieler für die Reduced Shakespeare Company tätig war, zog sich Jess Winfield im Jahre 1992 von der Theatergruppe zurück, als ihm bewusst wurde, dass er die Titelrolle in Hamlet häufiger gespielt hatte, als Laurence Olivier und John Gielgud zusammen. Zur Zeit lebt er in Los Angeles, wo er das Script für zahlreiche Mickey Mouse Cartoons für das Fernsehen sowie ein Buch unter dem Titel What Would Shakespeare Do ? geschrieben hat.
